Oprah Winfrey retains her position as the most powerful celebrity thanks to her long-running talk show, which pulls in 30 million viewers a week, and yearly earnings of £140 million ($275 million).
David Beckham has replaced his friend Sir Elton John as one of the 10 most powerful celebrities in the world.
Beckham, who has earned £25 million ($50 million) in the past year, comes four places ahead of JK Rowling, the creator of the phenomenally successful Harry Potter books, who made £125 million ($300 million) in the previous 12 months alone.

Barack Obama & Fabio Capello

Fabio Capello, Jeremy Paxman and Barack Obama have been named three of the most stylish men of 2008.
The England manager, Newsnight presenter and presidential hopeful are three of 10 names cited by lifestyle magazine Esquire.

Batman star Christian Bale and Prince Michael of Kent are also in the top 10.

The rest of the list includes a Sotheby's auctioneer, an Italian industrialist, a Chicago rapper, the M&S boss and an environmentalist.

Britain's Prince William has been named "Hottest Young Royal" in the world by Forbes magazine.

They're young, fabulously wealthy and have blue blood coursing through their veins. Meet the "20 Hottest Young Royals" in the world, compiled by influential fortune tracker, Forbes magazine.
The magazine used the "winning combinations of looks, money, and popularity on the Web" to come up with the list, it says.

Only unmarried royals under the age of 35 were considered.

The Forbes list proved to be a Royal knockout for British royalty.

They came in the top four of hottest young royals in the world.

Tony Blair

Despite handing over the position of Prime Minister to Gordon Brown almost a year ago, Tony Blair is still considered the most influential man in the UK, according to a poll published on Thursday.

In a survey of 1,000 business leaders, Mr Blair received 20% of the vote to find the nation's most powerful people, closely followed by Mr Brown on 19%.

Tory leader David Cameron came further down the list of the most influential men at fifth place, ranked after businessman Sir Richard Branson and News Corporation chairman Rupert Murdoch.

Four Season Hotel

FIVE Australian hotels have been named amongst the world's best in an annual online travel survey.
On the Beach Holiday Apartments and Courtyard by Marriott in Queensland – along with the Four Seasons, Swissotel and Shangri-La in Sydney – were all named in the exclusive list of the world's top hotels by online travel company Expedia.

More than 80,000 properties worldwide were surveyed by Expedia travellers, who selected their favourite hotels based on value, service and customer ratings.

The Time 100

The Time published its fifth annual list of the world's most influential people: leaders, thinkers, heroes, artists, entrepreneurs, scientists, and more. Dalai Lama ranks first on the list. Millions of people turn to the Dalai Lama for inspiration, but to whom does he turn? It's not a person but a place beyond, beyond self and non-self. The wonder isn't that such a place can be found. The wonder is that one man makes it look so easy.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center's list of 10 most wanted Nazis, as of April 1, 2008. It is to be released Wednesday, but was obtained in advance by The Associated Press:

1. Dr. Aribert Heim, whereabouts unknown: Indicted in Germany on charges he murdered hundreds of inmates at Mauthausen concentration camp, where he was camp doctor. Disappeared in 1962, before planned prosecution.
